Jennifer Barry

Jennifer Barry is an accomplished robotics professional with extensive experience in the field. Currently serving as Research Lead at the Robotics and AI Institute since October 2022, Jennifer focuses on simplifying the process of teaching robots new tasks. Previously, Jennifer was a Senior Roboticist at Boston Dynamics from October 2014 to June 2022, where leadership was provided to the autonomous behavior team for the Stretch robot. Jennifer also worked as a Senior Robotics Engineer at Rethink Robotics from July 2013 to September 2014, contributing to the development of smooth, intuitive motion for the Baxter robot arm. Jennifer holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, attained in 2013, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Physics from Swarthmore College, completed in 2007.
