Jessica Hodgins

Jessica Hodgins is an accomplished academic and industry leader in computer science and robotics, currently serving as the VP of Strategic Projects and Research at The Boston Dynamics AI Institute since October 2022. Hodgins holds the position of Allen Newell University Professor of Computer Science and Robotics at Carnegie Mellon University, where tenure began in 2000. Previous roles include Research Director at Facebook, where efforts led to the establishment of a new FAIR lab in Pittsburgh, and VP of Disney Research from 2008 to early 2017. Hodgins began a tenure at Georgia Institute of Technology as Associate Professor and Assistant Dean from 1992 to 2000. Educational credentials include a PhD from Carnegie Mellon University and a BA in Mathematics from Yale University.
