Joseph Carpinelli

Joseph Carpinelli is an experienced software and aerospace engineer currently working at RAI Institute, contributing to ROS 2 package design for various research teams while implementing a controller development framework. Prior experience includes roles at NASA, where Joseph supported the development and analysis of flight software for the Orion Launch Abort System and worked within both Integrated GN&C Analysis and Flight Operations teams. Joseph also gained valuable skills through multiple internships at NASA, Harris Corporation, and SRI International, completing tasks such as communications research and workflow improvements. Joseph holds a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland.
