Rick Burnham

Rick Burnham is a highly experienced roboticist and mechanical engineer, currently employed at The AI Institute since November 2023. Prior to this role, Rick served as Engineering Manager and Principal Mechanical Engineer at E-Space from 2019 to 2023, and as Principal Hardware Engineer at Desktop Metal from 2016 to 2020, contributing to the development of innovative 3D printing technology. Rick has also held significant positions at Amazon Robotics, Xylem Inc., and EMD Millipore, where responsibilities ranged from electro-mechanical robotic development to pump product engineering. Founding Product Design Lab LLC, Rick offered consulting services in product design, including toys and electronic products, and served as VP of Product Development at Oblecto Entertainment. Earlier experience includes leadership roles at Virtual Ink and Hasbro Toys & Games. Rick holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Management from Lesley University.
