Michael Bernhardt

Michael Dr. Bernhardt is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the rail industry, currently serving as the Vorsitzender der Geschäftsleitung at Rail Power Systems GmbH since September 2016, where the focus is on the optimization and maintenance of railway infrastructure. Prior to this role, Michael held leadership positions at Balfour Beatty Rail, including Managing Director and Director of Sales & Marketing, where responsibilities included business development and strategic alliances. Michael also served as Managing Director at InoSig GmbH, working with electronic interlocking and train control systems, and held project management roles at Thales and Alcatel SEL AG. Michael began a career as a Senior Consultant at THOST Projektmanagement GmbH. Academic qualifications include a Dr. rer. nat. Diplom-Physiker degree in Physics from Universität Gesamthochschule Essen.
