Karen Lynn Scott

Karen Lynn Scott, MPA, MA, serves as the Human Resources Director at Rainforest Trust since October 2021, bringing extensive experience in human resources and operations. Previously, Karen held the position of Associate Director of Human Capital & Operations at the Institute for Women's Policy Research and served as the Human Resources Project Manager at The Brookings Institution, where responsibilities included managing various programs and projects related to recruitment, professional development, and diversity. Karen's earlier roles include Director of Human Resources at the Regional Planning Commission of Greater Birmingham and Workforce Analyst/Project Manager at Regions Bank. Educational credentials include a Master’s Degree in Public Administration/Public Policy and a Master of Arts in Historical Education & Research/Political Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in History/English from the same institution.
