Ryo Matsumura

Ryo M. is a seasoned executive with extensive experience at Rakuten since September 2013, where Ryo currently serves as Group Managing Executive Officer and Senior Vice President of the Commerce Company. Ryo has held various leadership roles including Vice President of Marketplace Businesses and General Manager of multiple divisions, overseeing significant business strategies and developments. Additionally, Ryo is Managing Director of Rakuten Bic, and serves on the board of directors for AWL, Inc. and Rakuten Data Marketing. Prior experience includes management consulting at A.T. Kearney and system architecture design at Accenture. Ryo holds a Master’s degree from the University of London and a Bachelor’s degree from Keio University.
