Shelley Speirs

Shelley Speirs is a seasoned software professional with extensive experience in Java development and team leadership. Currently serving as a Senior Java Developer and Platform Lead at Rand Merchant Bank since August 2000, Shelley transitioned back to a development-focused role to maintain technical skills while continuing to inspire and collaborate within the team. Prior to this, Shelley held positions as a Senior Analyst Programmer at Standard Corporate and Merchant Bank, where skills were advanced from mainframe to client/server development, and as a Programmer and Analyst Programmer at Standard Bank Group, with early career development as a Trainee Programmer at Absa. Shelley completed education at Pietermaritzburg Girls' High School from 1983 to 1987.
