Tuomas Akkanen has an extensive work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Tuomas currently works at Rapala VMC as the Executive Vice President and Head of Group Supply Chain and Winter Sports business. Tuomas is responsible for the group supply chain operations, global sourcing, and the winter sports business unit. Tuomas is also the Managing Director of Peltonen Ski Oy. Prior to this, they held the role of VP Group Supply Chain at the same company. Tuomas was responsible for group sales and operation planning, manufacturing operations in Finland, and global sourcing. Tuomas also served as the General Manager of PT. Rapala VMC Batam in Indonesia. Before joining Rapala VMC, Tuomas worked at Altia Plc as a Logistics Manager and Operations Development Manager. Tuomas also worked at Schneider Electric/Strömfors Electric Oy as an Industrial Performance Leader and an Operations Development Manager. Their early career includes positions at SEW Eurodrive as a Development Engineer.
Tuomas Akkanen earned an M.sc. degree in Future Industry Firm from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan in 2004. Tuomas also briefly attended Linköping University in 2002, but did not complete a degree or specify a field of study.
