Daniel Best has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Daniel started their career as a Hardware Intern at Cisco Systems in 2008. Daniel then worked as an Electrician at D.F. Best in 2009. In 2010, they worked as an RTL Hardware Engineer at Samsung Electronics before transitioning to a Senior Consultant role at Deloitte & Touche LLP. Daniel joined GM Financial in 2013, where they held various roles such as Senior Analyst in Portfolio Management and Loss Forecasting & Reserves. In 2015, they became a Senior Data Engineer at Crain Communications. Daniel then moved on to OneMagnify in 2017, where they worked as Manager in Analytics Consulting. Daniel joined Code Worldwide in 2022 as the Director of Decision Sciences and later joined RAPP in 2023 as the Data Analytics Director. Additionally, in 2018, they held the role of CFO, Head Roaster, and Green Coffee Buyer at Brilliant Gem LLC.
Daniel Best has a strong educational background in data science and analytics. Daniel earned a Master of Applied Data Science from the University of Michigan- School of Information in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science in Business Analytics from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2015. Daniel also holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Michigan College of Engineering, which they obtained in 2009. Additionally, Daniel pursued studies in theology at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in 2017. Daniel has acquired various certifications in programming and analytics, including the Google Analytics Certification, Certified Associate in Python Programming, Alteryx Core Certified, and several SAS certifications.
