Forrest E. Meyen, Ph.D has been working in the aerospace industry since 2009. Forrest E. began their career as a Space Launch Systems Engineer for Alaska Aerospace in 2009. In 2011, they became an Aerospace Structures Engineer for Blue Origin and a Ph.D. Candidate, Aerospace Engineer, Electrochemist, and Entrepreneur for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2014, they joined NASA as a Science Team Member for the Mars 2020 MOXIE project. In 2015, they became an Aerospace Engineer for the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and a Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer for Raptor Maps. In 2017, they became a Research Specialist for the MIT Haystack Observatory and a Commercial Program Manager and Lead Avionics System Engineer for Draper. Most recently, in 2021, they became a Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer for Lunar Outpost.

Forrest E. Meyen, Ph.D. holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a Master of Science (M.S.) in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering (BSBE) from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Additionally, they hold certifications from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT-B) and PADI (Open Water Diver).
