Edward Middleton

Edward Middleton is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in site reliability engineering and software development. Currently serving as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Rapyuta Robotics since September 2021, Edward has also been a freelance software engineer since July 2016, focused on projects within the financial services and procurement sectors, utilizing technologies such as Rust, Ruby on Rails, and Haskell. In addition, Edward holds a long-standing role as the President of the Tokyo Linux User Group since June 2007, overseeing the organization’s activities to promote Linux technologies. Prior experience includes co-founding and serving as the CTO of ClassDo Inc., a platform that connects students with tutors, and working as a Senior Programmer at Nikon Systems Inc. Edward earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Micro-Electronic Engineering - Communication Systems from Griffith University between 1996 and 2001.
