Anita Chacko

Anita Chacko, PhD, currently serves as the VP of Patient Research at Rare Genomics Institute, leading a team of analysts across multiple countries in the analysis of genetic variants related to rare diseases. With a robust background in molecular dynamics and structural biology, Anita has held various roles including Lead Analyst and Project Manager within the organization. Prior experience includes contract work at IBM focused on Amyloid Beta peptide simulations, a Scientist position at the CSIR - Central Leather Research Institute involving crystallography and bioinformatics, and a Postdoctoral fellowship at the National Centre for Biological Sciences analyzing the exome of Chronic Myeloid Leukemia patients. Anita's academic credentials include a PhD in Molecular Biophysics from the Indian Institute of Science, along with advanced degrees in Biochemistry and Chemistry.
