Karmen Trzupek has extensive work experience in various roles related to genetics and clinical trial services. Karmen is currently working as the Sr Director of Scientific Programs at RARE-X since May 2022. Prior to this, they spent a significant part of their career at InformedDNA, where they held multiple roles including Director of Clinical Trial Services, Director of Ocular & Rare Disease Genetics Services, and Sr Genetic Counselor, Team Leader. Karmen started working at InformedDNA in February 2010 and continued until May 2022. Before joining InformedDNA, they worked as a Genetic Counselor at Casey Eye Institute from 2001 to 2009.

Karmen Trzupek completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Microbiology, Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Karmen then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Genetic Counseling/Counselor from Northwestern University.
