Rascal Games
Rick Ling is a co-founder of Rascal Games as of January 2024, focusing on developing a game that promotes endless adventures among friends, supported by experienced developers and investors from industry leaders like Riot Games and Discord. Prior to this, Rick served as the Head of Communities Product at Discord from November 2018 to February 2023, leading the company's expansion into community engagement. As CEO and co-founder of Blitz, which was acquired by Discord, Rick contributed to enhancing the gaming experience for millions. Rick co-founded Cal Hacks, the largest collegiate hackathon, and held positions as Berkeley President of the Kairos Society and an investor for Dorm Room Fund. Early career experience includes engineering internships at Storm8 and EARN.ORG, alongside a research assistantship at the University of North Texas, where Rick was involved in a project raising alligators. Rick holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley.
