Banu Şensöz has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years, primarily in the fields of risk management, internal control, financial control, and auditing. Banu began their career as a Budget & Accounting Responsible at the Turkish Culture and Tourism Office in New York in 2000 and worked there for nearly five years. Banu then joined the KSK Construction Group as a Financial Reporting Specialist before moving on to work as an Auditor at Moore Stephens. In 2007, Banu started working at Finans Emeklilik ve Hayat A.S. as a Financial Control & Planning Assistant Manager for two years. Since 2010, they have been employed at Ray Sigorta, where they hold the role of Head of Risk Management, Internal Control and AML Compliance.
Banu Şensöz, CRMA completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration at Marmara University from 1995 to 1999. In 2000-2001, they pursued Information Technology, Unix Programming at Baruch College as a part of Continuing and Professional Studies. Later, they attended The City College of New York from 2002 to 2005 and obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Economics. In 2013, Şensöz obtained the Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) certification from the IIA. Currently, they are pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology at Anadolu University.
