Ken Haines has extensive work experience in the sports industry. Ken started their career at Virginia Tech in 1970 as the Assistant to the President, Public Information Director, and Manager of the Virginia Tech Sports Network. In 1981, they joined Raycom Sports as the President and CEO. Ken has held this position at Raycom Sports for an indefinite period of time.

Ken Haines's education history is as follows:

Ken Haines attended Dakota Wesleyan University from 1960 to 1964 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology and Economics. From 1965 to 1967, they attended the University of Wyoming, where they studied Broadcasting. In 1969, Haines pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Higher Education Administration at Troy University, completing their studies in 1970. Lastly, they attended Virginia Tech from 1974 to 1976, during which they obtained a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) in Higher Education.
