Lars Glimelius

Lars Glimelius has extensive work experience in the field of physics and software development related to cancer treatment planning. Lars worked at RaySearch Laboratories from 2007 to 2019, where they held various roles including Senior physicist, System developer, Team lead, and Product manager. During this time, Lars was responsible for algorithm development, physical modeling, and software design for proton, photon, electron, and light ion therapy. Lars also worked at Elekta in 2006 for their Master's thesis. Currently, Lars is the Head of the physics group at RaySearch Laboratories, where they manage a team of around 12 physicists and drives the development of physics algorithms and treatment planning for cancer treatments.

Lars Glimelius completed their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics at Uppsala University from 2001 to 2007. In 2006, they also have experience studying as an Erasmus student during their final semester at Université Joseph Fourier (Grenoble I), specializing in Physics and medical technology.
