Francis Duplessis is a highly skilled research professional with extensive experience in machine learning and applied research. Currently serving as Staff Research Engineer and Machine Learning Research Team Lead at Borealis AI since August 2019, Francis has also held the position of Applied Researcher. Prior experience includes work as an Applied Research Scientist at Element AI, a ServiceNow company, from October 2017 to August 2019. Francis completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics at Arizona State University, focusing on cosmological inflation and bouncing cosmologies, and holds a Master of Science in Cosmology and a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics, both from McGill University.
