Kevin Wilson is an accomplished machine learning researcher and data scientist with a strong background in leading teams and improving government policy through data-driven initiatives. Currently serving as Staff ML Researcher and ML Research Team Lead at Borealis AI since January 2023, Kevin previously held the position of Associate Director and Head of Data Science at The Policy Lab, overseeing projects that informed critical governmental decisions. Experience includes roles at The Lab @ DC, where Kevin was a Senior Data Scientist focused on integrating social science with data science in local governments, as well as consulting for Microsoft's TEALS program. Kevin's early career also included mentorship in data science for social good, principal data scientist responsibilities at Knewton, and extensive data analysis and model development. Kevin holds a PhD in Mathematics from Princeton University and a BS in Mathematics from the University of Michigan.
