Mohamed Osama Ahmed is a seasoned professional in the field of machine learning, currently serving as Machine Learning Research Team Lead and previously as Senior Machine Learning Researcher at Borealis AI since January 2019, focusing on developing machine learning models for credit. With extensive academic experience at The University of British Columbia, Mohamed contributed as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in various advanced data science and machine learning courses while also engaging in research related to deep learning. Prior roles include Data Scientist at Ecoation Innovative Solutions Inc and Graduate Research Assistantships in energy forecasting, speech recognition, and machine learning at both Cairo University and The University of British Columbia. Mohamed holds a PhD in Computer Science, a Master of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering, and additional master's and bachelor's degrees in engineering and physics from Cairo University.
