Nikoo Aghaei is a Machine Learning Software Engineer at Borealis AI since May 2022. Previously, Nikoo served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Alberta from September 2019 to December 2021, where a new image augmentation technique was proposed and deep neural networks were trained and evaluated using Python and PyTorch. Nikoo also held roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Mentor in the Computing Science High School Internship Program, demonstrating strong time management, leadership, and communication skills. Prior experience includes a Database and Back-end Developer Internship at Tooska and an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant position at Shahid Beheshti University. Nikoo holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Software Engineering from Shahid Beheshti University.
