Mike Cooper

Mike Cooper is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in RF and microwave product engineering. Currently serving as Director of RF Engineering at Reach since May 2024, Mike previously held the position of Senior Manager RF Engineering at Sanmina from February 2020 to May 2024, focusing on RF/microwave product engineering services for global customers. Prior to that, Mike worked at DragonWave-X for nearly two decades in various roles, including Senior Engineering Manager and Senior Radio Design Engineer, specializing in carrier-grade wireless network solutions and microwave radio products. Mike's career began at the Communications Research Centre as an Antenna Research Engineer, followed by roles as a Contract Lecturer in EM and RF Engineering at Carleton University and Senior Antenna Engineer at Gandec Antena Systems, where cellular basestation antenna design was a key focus. Mike holds a Master of Engineering in Electronics with a specialization in Antenna Theory and a Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace, both from Carleton University.
