Dan Udriste has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies in the engineering field. Dan most recently worked at RECARO Aircraft Seating as the Chief Engineer, leading the development of new seating platforms and product design. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Engineering and R&D at Collins Aerospace, where they managed multiple commercial aircraft seating engineering teams and supported sales and marketing campaigns. Dan also worked at Rockwell Collins as the Sr. Director of Engineering and Advance Product Development, where they recruited and developed a new team and studied and invented new seating geometries and layout arrangements. Earlier in their career, Dan worked at B/E Aerospace as the Vice President of Engineering and R&D for the Super First Class division, where they managed various engineering and R&D projects related to aircraft seating and interior systems. Dan also held the position of Department Head/Engineering Manager/Program Manager at Kiekert AG, where they developed automotive door latching systems for OEMs. Dan began their career at Johnson Controls as a Project Engineer, designing and engineering automotive front seats and seating mechanisms.
Dan Udriste completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest in the period from 1986 to 1991. Dan then pursued further education at the University of Cincinnati, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Mechanical Engineering, completing their studies from 1991 to 1993. Additionally, Dan Udriste pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Automotive Engineering at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest sometime between 2001 and 2005, although the start and end years for this degree are not provided.
