RECCO
RECCO AB produces and sells search technology for avalanche rescue and search and rescue operations in the outdoors. The technology was invented by Magnus Granhed, the founder and owner of RECCO AB, in the 1980s. Today the RECCO system is a global standard for avalanche rescue and is utilized by professional rescuers worldwide. The two-part technology consists of RECCO reflectors that are integrated into consumer products as apparel, helmets, protection gear, and boots. The RECCO® detectors are used by professional rescuers to search for and find people equipped with RECCO reflectors. As a global system RECCO AB works closely with rescuers from many different countries and distributes RECCO reflectors to outdoor brands worldwide.
