Jake Setford

Jake Setford has extensive experience in the IT field, with a focus on systems and network engineering. Jake started their career as a Sales Assistant at Cruisin Records in 2005 and transitioned to an IT Support Engineer role at Orpington College of Further Education in 2010. At Orpington College, Jake provided IT support, resolved mail and file migration problems, and conducted training for new staff members.

In 2012, Jake joined Bromley College of Further and Higher Education as a Junior Systems and Network Engineer. Jake created an automated account management solution using PowerShell and SQL, supporting and managing 11,000 users. Jake also developed management tools for the first-line team, improving task efficiency and logging changes. Jake later became a Systems and Network Engineer, where they continued to leverage PowerShell to create management tools and utilized SSRS to generate reports.

Jake then moved to London South East Colleges in 2016, where they furthered their expertise as a Systems and Network Engineer. Jake led the design and construction of a new domain, spanning 14,000 accounts across 4 domains, and performed a migration from VMware to Hyper-V, followed by an upgrade to Hyper-V 2016. Jake achieved minimal downtime by resyncing Office 365 accounts during the migration.

Most recently, Jake joined Redburn in 2018 as a DevOps Engineer.

Jake Setford's education history includes several qualifications from Bromley College. Jake completed a BTEC Level 3 Certificate in ICT System and Principles (QCF), a Functional Skills Qualification in Mathematics Level 2, a Key Skills Certificate in Communication Level 2, and a Functional Skills Qualification in Information and Communication Technology. Additionally, they obtained a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Professional Competence for IT and Telecoms Professionals (QCF), a BTEC Level 2 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence, a BTEC National Diploma for IT Practitioners, and a BTEC First Diploma for IT Practitioners, all from Bromley College.
