Michael Hood is a seasoned software engineer and data scientist with a diverse background in data science, machine learning, and software development. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Andesite since November 2023 and as the Founder of Raven Ridge Labs, a provider of data science and engineering services, Michael has previously held key roles at companies such as Rebellion Defense, where responsibilities included leading an ML Ops platform as a Technical Lead and contributing as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer. Additional experience includes positions at Formation and ProKarma, where Michael managed data science teams and developed strategic data solutions. An Aviator and Mission Commander in the US Navy for nearly eight years, Michael holds a B.S. in Mathematics from the United States Naval Academy and an M.S. in Business Management, Technology Commercialization, and Entrepreneurship from the University of Notre Dame.
