Dr. Kecia Nesmith

Dr. Kecia Nesmith is an accomplished educational leader with extensive experience in various roles, including Principal and Curriculum Supervisor at Downingtown Area School District since July 2019. In this role, Dr. Nesmith leads the Downingtown Cyber Academy, developing curriculum and instructional practices across Multiple disciplines. Dr. Nesmith has served as a School Board Member for Red Clay Consolidated School District while previously being the President of the Board at Cecil College. With a strong emphasis on culturally responsive practices and innovative teaching strategies, Dr. Nesmith has successfully implemented programs to enhance student engagement and improve educational equity. Additionally, Dr. Nesmith has held various leadership positions in educational consulting, curriculum design, and K-12 professional development, and has a robust academic background with multiple advanced degrees, culminating in a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Delaware.
