Og MacIel

Og Maciel is a seasoned software engineering leader currently serving as a Senior Software Engineering Manager at Red Hat since December 2011, where responsibilities include leading a team focused on extending the Red Hat open hybrid cloud experience to edge computing. Prior positions at Red Hat encompass Director of Quality Engineering and Senior Manager of Quality Engineering, overseeing multiple Quality Engineering teams and driving initiatives for automation and agile methodologies. In addition to roles at Red Hat, Og Maciel actively contributes to the GNOME Foundation as a Board of Directors member and has been involved with the GNOME Project as a BillReminder Project Maintainer. Previous professional experiences include roles at rPath and as a .NET Developer at NYCSCA. Og Maciel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Pace University.
