Tom Jump has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Tom began their career in the US Navy, where they served as a student, technician, and workstation supervisor. In 2001, they left the Navy and joined BioScale, Inc. as a Mechanical Engineer, staying with the company for eight years.
In 2014, Tom moved to T2 Biosystems and started as a Senior Engineer before being promoted to Manager, Instrument Manufacturing. Tom held this position until 2018 when they joined TransMedics, Inc. as a Manufacturing Manager. After a year, they transitioned to RedShiftBio, where they became the Director of Manufacturing & Operations.
Throughout their career, Tom has demonstrated their expertise and leadership in manufacturing and operations roles across various industries.
Tom Jump's education history includes the following:
- From 2003 to 2007, they attended Wentworth Institute of Technology, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Prior to that, from 2001 to 2003, they studied at the Community College of Rhode Island, focusing on Manufacturing Engineering (accumulating 63 Credits), although they did not complete a degree.
- Between 1995 and 1997, Tom Jump participated in the US Navy AECS program, obtaining a certificate in Advanced electronics and computer field.
- Finally, from 1991 to 1995, they attended Middletown High School, earning a High School Diploma.
