Peter Hughes, PhD CFA, is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in investment management, particularly in the healthcare sector. Currently serving as a Fund Manager and Partner at Redwheel, Peter leads the Global Sustainable Health Care Investment Team since July 2023. Prior to this role, Peter spent nearly eight years at AXA Investment Managers, initially as a Healthcare Equity Analyst and later as a Fund Manager. Earlier career experiences include positions as an Investment Analyst Trainee at Architas and an Equity Research Analyst at 2CG Senhouse Investments Limited. Peter holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology from UCL and a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Surrey.
