Rachel Ormsby

Rachel Ormsby is a highly experienced engineering professional with a strong background in program and project management primarily in the aerospace and biomedical sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Program Manager/Project Manager and Mechanical Engineering Manager at Redwire Space since its acquisition of Techshot in November 2021, Rachel previously held the position of Mechanical Engineering Department Lead at Techshot, Inc., managing a team of seven engineers and overseeing NASA-related projects. Rachel's extensive career includes roles such as President of Ormsby Engineering, Senior Project Engineer at SHOT, Inc., and Thermal Engineer at Lockheed Martin, among others. Rachel is also an accomplished author with works focused on parental guidance in medical contexts. Educationally, Rachel holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Old Dominion University, a Master of Science in Astronautics from The George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Boston University.
