Tomás de Garay

Tomás de Garay, PhD, is an experienced professional in the field of cellular and molecular biology with a strong emphasis on transcription regulation. Currently serving as Product Manager at Refeyn since January 2020, Tomás has previously held roles including Channel Partner Manager, European Sales Manager, and Sales and Applications Specialist. Prior academic work includes a PhD research role at Université Côte d'Azur, culminating in a dissertation on alternative protein variants of CD98hc and notable participation in scientific outreach. Tomás co-founded IGBio to facilitate connections between academia and industry, and has a background in research internships at the National Center for Biotechnology in Madrid, contributing to interdisciplinary studies that led to publications and collaborations. An educator with over 200 hours of personalized science instruction, Tomás also brings leadership experience from managing leisure activities. Tomás holds a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology, complemented by a Master's in Molecular Biomedicine and a Bachelor's in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
