Heather Bender

Heather Bender, Ph.D., PMP, currently serves as an Associate Manager at Regeneron, with a focus on project management since joining in May 2020. Previously, Heather held the position of Senior Project Associate and actively contributed as the Travel Awards Co-Chair for the Postdoctoral Association at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus from November 2017 to May 2020, overseeing a fair application process for travel awards. As a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Espinosa laboratory, expertise was developed in gene expression programs related to cancer. Heather's extensive academic background includes a Ph.D. and Bachelor's degrees in Microbiology and Biology from Colorado State University, where additional roles involved teaching and laboratory research on prion diseases.
