Supervisor, Climate Transition And Sustainability at Region of Waterloo

Katelyn Tozer is an experienced professional in climate transition and sustainability, currently serving as Supervisor for the Region of Waterloo since December 2023. Prior to this role, Katelyn held various positions with the Town of Caledon, including Manager of Energy and Environment and Energy and Environment Officer, where responsibilities involved implementing strategic climate change plans and managing energy across multiple facilities. Additionally, Katelyn was involved with the Elora Environment Centre as a member of the Board of Directors and in various roles, including Community Energy Plan Coordinator and Interim General Manager, focusing on energy assessments and project management. Katelyn's earlier roles include customer service at Pearl Street Communications, research for My Sustainable Canada, and environmental education at YMCA Geneva Park. Katelyn holds a Master of Science in Environmental Sustainability from The University of Edinburgh and an Honours BA in Geography from Wilfrid Laurier University, along with ongoing education in Advanced Recreation Energy Management.
