Mari MacNeil

Mari MacNeil is a seasoned professional in water and wastewater management, currently serving as the Director of Water & Wastewater Services for the Region of Waterloo since February 2023. This role involves overseeing the planning, design, construction, and operations of water and wastewater systems. Prior to this, MacNeil held managerial positions in compliance and performance as well as technical services at the City of Guelph. Experience at the Region of Peel encompasses strategic planning and operational support for water and wastewater divisions, as well as serving as an HR strategic business partner. Early career roles included corporate planning and human resources at Toyota and Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada. MacNeil holds an Honours degree in Psychology and Kinesiology from York University.
