Mikel Artetxe

Mikel Artetxe is an accomplished researcher and co-founder, currently serving as an Honorary Researcher at Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea and co-founding Reka AI since February 2023. Previous experience includes a role as a Research Scientist at Facebook AI from September 2020 to February 2023, and as a PhD Intern at DeepMind in 2019, where Mikel developed a project on cross-lingual representation learning. Additional internships at Google and Facebook AI involved projects in multilingual sentence embeddings and coreference resolution. Mikel's academic background includes a PhD in Natural Language Processing, a Master’s degree in the same field, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, all obtained from Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea.
