Tim Ellis

Co-Founder & CEO at Relativity Space

Tim Ellis is the co-founder and CEO of Relativity Space, a 3D printing rocket company. Tim was previously a propulsion development engineer and 3D printing engineer at Blue Origin, where they were responsible for bringing metal 3D printing in-house and worked on the company's BE-4 rocket engine. Prior to Blue Origin, Ellis was a member of the 2016 Y Combinator cohort as the founder of Relativity Space.

Ellis completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Southern California, where they majored in aerospace engineering. Tim then went on to complete a Master of Science in aerospace engineering with a focus in propulsion at USC. Tim has also worked as a research assistant in the school's Rocket Propulsion Lab.
