Francois du Plessis is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in business controlling and accounting. Currently serving as Business Controlling Manager at Release by Scatec since January 2023, Francois manages finance and asset management for projects across Sub-Saharan Africa and South America. Previously, as an IFRS specialist and internal advisor at The HEINEKEN Company, responsibilities included global accounting and reporting, focusing on technical consultations and strategic projects. Francois also held key roles at PwC Nederland in Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services, overseeing diverse client portfolios and enhancing reporting tools. Francois began the career at PwC South Africa, completing a three-year traineeship while obtaining qualifications as a Chartered Accountant. Academically, Francois holds a B.Acc (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from Stellenbosch University.
