Kellen Phillips has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Kellen started their career as a Transmission Engineer at NV Energy in 2004, where they worked until 2011. During their time at NV Energy, they gained valuable skills and knowledge in the field of transmission engineering. In 2011, Kellen joined NV Energy as a Power Trader, where they worked until 2012. Kellen'srole as a Power Trader involved trading power and managing energy contracts. Kellen then moved on to join ReliabilityFirst Corporation in 2012. At ReliabilityFirst, they held various roles, including Senior Operations and Planning Auditor and Engineer, Principal Technical Auditor. In these positions, Kellen performed compliance reviews, assessed risks, and communicated compliance requirements to stakeholders. Kellen is a dedicated professional with a strong background in energy operations and regulatory compliance.
Kellen Phillips completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from UNLV, attending the university from 1999 to 2004. Afterward, they pursued an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Regis University, where they attended from 2008 to 2012.

Our team includes electrical engineers, computer engineers and cyber security experts, statisticians and risk experts, attorneys and regulatory experts, professional auditors, systems engineers, organizational design experts, and professional trainers. ReliabilityFirst is one of only six companies across North America that are responsible for this vital work under Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)-approved delegation agreements with the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC). Specifically, our company is responsible for the reliability and security of the electric grid in the Mid-Atlantic and Great Lakes areas of the United States, which includes all or portions of Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, and the District of Columbia.
