Zack Brinkman has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Zack began their career as a Security Analyst Intern at University Park Airport in 2011. In 2012, they worked as a Security Administration Intern at Early Warning® before transitioning to the role of Security Compliance Specialist in 2013. Zack then moved up to the position of Information Security Consultant in 2015 and eventually became an Information Security Consultant III in 2016. In 2016, they joined Charles Schwab as a Senior Security Specialist, and in 2017, they joined ReliabilityFirst Corporation as a CIP Technical Auditor. Zack quickly advanced to the position of Sr. CIP Technical Auditor in 2019 and is currently serving as the Manager of CIP Compliance Monitoring since May 2020.
Zack Brinkman completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Security and Risk Analysis from Penn State University, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. After that, they obtained several certifications, including Information Systems Security Professionals NSTISSI-4011 from the National Security Agency in December 2011, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in October 2019, and GIAC Critical Infrastructure Protection (GCIP) from GIAC Certifications in July 2020. In January 2023, they earned the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification from ISACA.

Our team includes electrical engineers, computer engineers and cyber security experts, statisticians and risk experts, attorneys and regulatory experts, professional auditors, systems engineers, organizational design experts, and professional trainers. ReliabilityFirst is one of only six companies across North America that are responsible for this vital work under Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)-approved delegation agreements with the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC). Specifically, our company is responsible for the reliability and security of the electric grid in the Mid-Atlantic and Great Lakes areas of the United States, which includes all or portions of Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, and the District of Columbia.
