John Del Valle has extensive work experience in the medical field. John began their career as a public health physician at Community Hospital in 1988. John then worked as an internal medicine practitioner at Scovill Medical Group from 1998 to 2000. From 2000 to 2003, they served as a staff physician at Hartford HealthCare Medical Group. In 2003, they became a hospitalist at the Hospital for Special Care and also worked as a staff physician at Brittany Farms Health Center. John continued their career as a senior medical director at MetLife from 2011 to 2019. Currently, they hold the position of medical director at Reliance Standard. Additionally, they worked as an independent consultant specializing in disability for a few years.
John Del Valle has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Case Western Reserve University, which they received from 1975 to 1979. John then attended the Medical College of Ohio from 1980 to 1985, where they obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree. Following this, they studied internal medicine at the Jewish Hospital of Cincinnati from 1985 to 1988.
