Zia Syed

Zia Syed has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. They started their career in 2012 as a Software Engineer intern at Infinera, where they successfully transitioned the company's database system. In 2013, they worked as a Hardware Engineer intern at Infinera, optimizing the OSC and controlling VOAs remotely. In 2014, Zia joined IBM as a Software Engineering DBA, pioneering the creation of a program called Workload Expert and debugging UI dashboards. From 2015 to 2021, they worked at Cisco, initially as a Software Engineer Co-Op, designing UI frameworks and implementing automated tests for the OpenDaylight Controller. Later, they became a Software Sales Systems Engineer, working on innovative projects and collaborating with tier 1 customers. In 2021, Zia joined Forethought as a Sales Engineering Manager, focusing on generative AI in customer support and experience. They are currently employed at Relyance AI as a Senior Solutions Architect.

Zia Syed completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. Zia attended the university from 2012 to 2016.
