Ignacio Nin began their career in 2002 as a Multi-purpose Hacker for ALFA Networks SRL. In 2004, they moved to Live Interactive S.A. as a Senior Developer and Systems Administrator. In 2007, they joined Calunix SA as a Senior Developer and Systems Administrator. In 2010, they joined Percona as a Build Engineer and later became the Shift Support Captain and Acting Director of IT. In 2013, they moved to VividCortex as an Operations/Backend Developer, where they were responsible for AWS Cloud automation, database+application performance tuning, site reliability, cost+risk analysis, and driving the change from a service-oriented DevOps team to embedded SRE in engineering teams. In 2017, they joined Remind as a Staff Site Reliability Engineer, where they continued to work on AWS Cloud automation, database+application performance tuning, and site reliability. In 2022, they joined UTU - Dirección General de Educación Técnico - Profesional as a Teacher.

Ignacio Nin attended Universidad de la República from 1999 to 2019, where they obtained an Engineer degree in Electric Engineering. Ignacio then returned to Universidad de la República in 2020 and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Electric Engineering, which they are expected to complete in 2023. In December 2019, they obtained an AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
