Engineer at Remind

Stephen Haberman has over 20 years of experience in the engineering industry. Stephen began their career in 2000 as a Web Developer Intern at Microsoft, where they developed internal applications in ASP.NET. In 2004, they co-founded Exigence, a small independent consulting firm, and acted as tech lead/architect for client projects. In 2005, they were an Exigence Consultant for PayFlex Systems USA, Inc., where they architected a rewrite of their legacy/off-the-shelf claims system. This system contributed to Aetna's purchase of PayFlex for $200m in 2011. In 2009, Haberman became the Director of Engineering at Bizo, where they managed a team of ~8-10 engineers and established a technical culture of quality-first, testing, and simplicity. Bizo was acquired by LinkedIn in 2014 for $175m. Haberman then worked as a Senior Engineering Manager at LinkedIn, leading one team directly and rewriting the legacy Ads reporting infrastructure. In 2018, they moved to Remind as an Engineer, and in 2019, they became an Engineer at Homebound.

Stephen Haberman received their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2003. Stephen then went on to Carnegie Mellon University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Information Technology with an emphasis in Software Engineering in 2004.
