Dane Heymans started their work experience as an Engineering Intern at REMY Robotics in March 2019. Dane then progressed to become a Junior Mechatronics Engineer, contributing to the development of autonomous robot-run kitchens for delivery restaurants. Dane's role at REMY Robotics is focused on creating groundbreaking technological solutions alongside a competitive customer product.
Prior to their time at REMY Robotics, Dane worked as an Outreach Robotics Trainer at Care for Education from April 2018 to July 2018.
Dane Heymans holds a Diploma Engineer's degree with a major in Master in Robotics and a minor in Data Science from HARBOUR.SPACE, which was achieved from 2019 to 2020. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria between 2015 and 2018. In addition to their formal education, Dane Heymans obtained a certification in Sketching for Product Design and AEC from LinkedIn in October 2020.
