Arkayan Samaddar

Arkayan Samaddar is a Scientist at RenaissanceRe since July 2022, specializing in atmospheric sciences and meteorology with extensive research experience from Penn State University, where Arkayan served as a Graduate Research Assistant from August 2014 to June 2023, focusing on the carbon cycle, greenhouse gas transport, and synoptic meteorology. Arkayan also worked as a Course Instructor for METEO 003, managing online classroom operations and individual student support, and held multiple Graduate Teaching Assistant positions, contributing significantly to course delivery and student mentoring. Prior experience includes co-founding CustomizeIT LLC, serving as a Design Engineer at Larsen & Toubro, and conducting undergraduate research at Vellore Institute of Technology. Arkayan holds a PhD in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology from Penn State University and a BTech in Mechanical Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology.
