Bertrand Verdier

Bertrand Verdier is an experienced insurance professional currently serving as Senior Vice President of Underwriting at RenaissanceRe since May 2021. Prior to this role, Bertrand held various senior underwriting positions at Swiss Re from March 2005 to April 2021, focusing on property risk across EMEA and Latin America, and leading the design and development of proprietary costing tools as a Group Actuary. Additionally, Bertrand worked in the Legal and Tax Department at PartnerRe briefly in late 2004. Bertrand holds a DESS in Actuarial Science from the Institut de Science Financière et d'Assurances, completed in 2004, and undertook preparatory classes at Lycée Claude Fauriel in 1999-2000.
