Nihat Cubukcu

Nihat Cubukcu is a seasoned professional in atmospheric sciences and meteorology with extensive experience in forecasting, data analysis, and numerical weather prediction. Currently serving as Assistant Vice President at RenaissanceRe since April 2006, Nihat also held the position of Senior Scientist at Weather Predict Consulting Inc from March 2003 to April 2024. Prior experience includes working as a System Administrator and Scientist at Florida State University, where research focused on air-sea interaction and modeling. Nihat holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master of Science (MS) in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology from Florida State University.
