Vishal Vatsa

Vishal Vatsa is currently the AVP, Data Science & AI Engineering Lead at RenaissanceRe, a position held since April 2025, after serving as AVP - Platform Engineering Lead for 17 years at Renaissance Reinsurance. With a strong background in software engineering, Vishal has experience in Python development, asynchronous frameworks, and high-performance computing. Prior roles include Software Engineer at Renaissance Services of Europe Limited and Developer at Propylon, focusing on publishing solutions using Zope and Plone. Vishal began academic pursuits at NUI Maynooth, earning a BSc in Computer Science and Software Engineering, and gained early industry experience as a Junior Software Developer at Intel.
